Before the Zoogesellschaftshaus is converted into a large municipal theatre for children and young people, the “Junge Theaterwerkstatt am Zoo” transforms the venue into Frankfurt's new theatre centre for children and young people. Throughout the 24/25 season the Junge Theaterwerkstatt am Zoo will serve as a unique model project and as a locally and globally networked international production house for children's and youth theatre located next to the prime family location of the zoo.
Watch theatre together is more fun than alone. Young artists from the Erasmus+ project “exit the room” meet with regional cultural organisers and presenters to visit the theatre together. What questions do we ask ourselves as presenters of art and culture across generations? How do we curate, what viewing experiences influence us and how do we want to talk about them? As part of the “Starke Stücke” festival, young theatre makers from Europe visit the festival and get to know organisers and presenters from the Rhine-Main region. The tandem think tank begins with a joint visit to the theatre and combines reflection and discourse with getting to know a wide variety of cultural producers.
