33rd International Theatre Festival for Young Audiences “Starke Stücke”

We are currently curating the 2027 programme. All invited guest performances, show dates, and the fringe programme will be published here at the end of the year.

Open Call "exit the room"
We invite aspiring theatre makers, artists and theatre pedagogues aged between 18 and 25 to apply for the new round of “exit the room”.
The project offers a platform for exchange and networking for young people on the cusp of leaving school, completing their training and entering the art field. Working together as a group, participants will visit three different festivals and institutions specialising in theatre for young audiences. Participants will be supported by coaches. They will watch performances, attend professional exchanges and discussions, network with festival organisers and professionals, and share their own methods and ideas. The project will culminate in short artistic try-outs, developed collaboratively within the group.
The application deadline is extended until August 15th 2026!

Taster workshop program
Daycare centers and elementary schools that would like to get to know the "Starke Stücke" educational program have the opportunity to book a taster workshop. Under the title "Am Leuchtturm gibt es Erdbeereis" we offer a staged reading of the children's book of the same name followed by a short interactive workshop for children aged 5 and over.
